Every person has a life pattern, and if we take the time to observe their patterns and behaviors, we can determine the success, or lack thereof, of the outcome of their next go at life. Rarely do people want to change their way of life, after much work of “figuring it out”, but for the most part it’s even harder to conceptualize having to readjust. At some point we must choose to walk away from mediocracy. Life is evolution. Change is ineveitable.
When we know a person is inadequate and cannot perform certain tasks to the best of their ability, we must choose to not allow them. For they have more learning to do. We must choose the person that’s best for the job, at that moment, because sometimes allowing a person to “try” can become very detrimental and can set things back even further than where it all started. That makes things and situations in life even harder to overcome.
People get so caught up in their quest to be seen in a favorable light that they forget the crowd is watching. They are so caught up in their own behaviors and motives that they forget about everyone else who’s involved. When trying to prove their own point, they may not recognize the neglect, then by the time they turn around, their old support system is gone. The rewards and recognition they were hoping to receive has diminished. Their actions then become seen as unfavorable. They are simply treading an outdated path that people cannot resonate with anymore. Sometimes progressions don’t have any rewards that can be shown off, the reward of overcoming is felt.
Even if we have worked hard to “figure things out”, after some observation, even if a solution was formed, the things that we have figured out, may not be the best solution to use moving forward. We have to ask ourselves are we perpetuating the past or are we enhancing destruction of the future? As much as we would like for the plans that we have conceived or developed to continue to work out, we must take into consideration all factors involved (past, present, and future). What worked for some in the past may not work well for those of the future. Different generations handle things and situations differently. Solutions should never be one-sided. Investigation, conversation, and thorough observations into developing the right outcome, FOR ALL, are all the things to be considered BEFORE making any permanent decisions, or any changes at all.
Every generation is born with a new strategy to combat problems that could not be solved by the previous generation. EVERY GENERATION MUST BE ALLOWED TO IMPLEMENT THE SOLUTIONS DEVLELOPED WITHIN THEIR SOCIAL CLASS TO BE ADDED UPON BY FUTURE GENERATIONS. If previous generations cannot have those sit-down conversations about producing change that can be effective for all, then I rather be left out of whatever is still being used based on the past. If previous generations do not want to implement changes into their lifestyle that newer generations deem detrimental and do not want to involve themselves with, then I’d rather be left out of joining their way of life. If previous generations do want to change their vernacular because newer generations resonate with sound and can recognize when the words that are being used doesn’t resonate with our soul, then I’d rather be left out of those conversation. If previous generations are living a lifestyle based on survival and not based upon living because the tactics used to survive were for generational burdens that no longer exist, then I rather be left out of those activities.
Understanding how groups can easily influence us to stay on old paths and in patterns that can be destructive and does not help to shift and grow our lives so that we enhance our way of life is very important. Some tell us what to do but regret to inform us why it is necessary to do so. Sometimes they don’t even know, they are just following ways that were taught to them. I quote Tyrese when he said, “Loyalty is Temporary”. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement because it exemplifies the fact that growth is imperative. If those around us are not growing with us, then they are hindering our growth. We must remain loyal to those who progress with us, not those who place barriers in our path. Every attempt to progress past them will force them to bring us back down to the level of life in which we have the tools to escape. Comfortability causes stagnation and someone’s comfort and inability to want to do more necessary work to change, be it takes them longer to adjust or not, should not be the reason why we all must suffer at a level we do not want to sit in any longer. Even if you are the first to make the necessary changes, make them, because eventually everyone else will SEE and witness the reason why you’ve made the changes.
I’d rather see a well-spoken and educated generation of people being developed, than to watch an entire generation of new people be brought back into the past, living a lifestyle of those whose education levels were bare minimum. The language of the past is child-like which results in childlike behaviors. We must mature at some point.
There are some things, people, places, events, and activities of the past that I would rather be left out of because the work done in my life personally is far too important than to be broken back down and diminished as if progress is impossible. If there are solutions that can be implemented to give my family, peers, and community a better and more positively enhanced way of life, then I’d like to represent that possibility. Point of reference is a major factor. People cannot believe in something they’ve never seen happen because the thought of it being a reality becomes a burden when we’re attacked for even attempting to enforce a change within our lifestyle. It’s not that we want to be seen as better or more important, the change is because we were educated enough to know that better exist. If better exist, then we should have the opportunity to experience better. If better can be done, we should be given the opportunity to show and prove that. It doesn’t take away from the earnings of the past, it shows how we evolve as human beings giving our families a history to explore. Without a history and no change over decades, how can you say that you’ve built a legacy?
I’d rather be left out of a history of self-destruction! I’d rather be seen on the positive side of the spectrum where change was implemented, accepted, and proved necessary for the growth of an entire Nation. That’s a legacy my children can be proud of. A fight well worthy of praise for overcoming groups of toxicity for the betterment of their future, one that was once hard to conceptualize.
